Michael Solomon was the ninth recipient of the Aubry Award and the first designer to be so honoured. Having worked during his long career as a designer of adult books for publishers Firefly, Macmillan and Nelson and others, Michael has been for many years the Art Director at Groundwood Books, one of Canada’s premier publishers of children’s literature.
