Claude Aubry Award

THE CLAUDE AUBRY award was established in 1981 in honour of the late Claude Aubry, who served as director of the Ottawa Public Library. The biennial award is given to an individual for distinguished service within the field of children's literature.


2008 Claude Aubry Awards presented to Dave Jenkinson and Charlotte Guérette

Dave Jenkinson was presented with his award in Winnipeg in May 2009 during the Manitoba Libraries Conference (read about it in our Summer 2009 newsletter). Charlotte Guérette was honoured at the TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award Celebration in Montreal in November 2009 (read about it in our Winter 2009 newsletter).
